The increasing number of people being compelled to migrate due to the climate crisis indicates that the state of our planet is deteriorating. The climate crisis is causing numerous natural disasters that ultimately force affected individuals to leave their homeland. The International Migrants Alliance organized a webinar on “Climate and Migration” to respond to this situation. The purpose of the webinar is to deepen the understanding of the IMA members regarding climate change and its relation to migration, false solutions that are offered by capitalists, and what we can do to address the climate crisis and support the call for climate justice.

December 18 is International Migrants’ Day.
Every year, we commemorate this important day by conducting various activities that celebrate the grassroots migrants’ victories, highlight the many issues we and our families confront, and push forward our campaigns and demands.
Article on “Understanding the Situation in Palestine” Webinar
The attacks and siege carried out by the Israeli government since early October have increased the suffering and death of the Palestinians.
Nerdeen Kiswani, the founder and chair of Within Our Lifetime - United for Palestine, was invited by IMA to explain in detail what is really happening in Palestine, on the webinar “Understanding the Situation in Palestine”. The webinar was held on October 18 and attended by around 150 participants, IMA also explained our position as an alliance that defends the human rights of migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced people.

NOVEMBER 18 – Over 100 participants gathered online to hear migrant worker leaders speak out against neoliberalism and imperialist wars of aggression, in line with the Peoples Global Days of Action Against APEC led by the No to APEC Coalition between November 11 to 17. Hosted by the International Migrants Alliance (IMA), the global online rally called A World Without Forced Migration and Imperialism! Global Speak Out of Migrants, Refugees, and Host Peoples against Neoliberal Exploitation and War was live streamed and viewed by over 200 viewers.
The Second Online Global Orientation - International Migrants Alliance (IMA) October 7, 2023
The International Migrants Alliance (IMA) held its second virtual Global Orientation last October 7, 2023 (9 PM GMT+8:00). The event was attended by around 20 participants from various IMA members and organizations, further supplemented with Indonesian and Spanish interpretation.

On October 9, in retaliation to the most recent escalation of the Palestinian people’s resistance to occupation, the Israeli government imposed a “complete siege” on Gaza. According to the Israeli defense minister’s own words, “We are imposing a complete siege on Gaza. There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel. Everything will be closed. We are fighting against human animals and we are acting accordingly.”
