Justice for the UNITED 6!
Comrades, let's join forces to support the 6 fishermen demanding justice for the violations committed by their employers!
This campaign is aimed at supporting the 6 fishermen who were recruited and employed by the US-based McAdams Fish and the Philippines-based Pescadores recruiting agency. The fishermen were promised wages to provide for their families, with a contract duration of 6 months to 1 year. However, the company intentionally refused to fulfill its obligations. The promise of full wages and benefits are not given to now. As if the contract violation is not enough, the fishermen were abandoned from September to December 2023 in Westport, Washington, without any clarity provided by Pescadores and McAdams.
IMA USA, together with BAYAN Seattle, Migrante Seattle, and other local organizations, joins hands and stands alongside the fishermen in demanding the rights that they rightfully deserve. We invite all IMA members to unite and provide support for the fishermen and their families!
